The Xandari hotels

There are two Xandari properties in Costa Rica - both beautifully designed situated in wonderful locations. The owner is an architect whilst his wife is an artist, who has decorated each villa in a unique and wonderful way.

The Xandari Plantation and Spa Hotel is set in a tropical paradise outside San Jose, with panoramic views of the Central Valley. The hotel has 16 villas scattered among coffee plantations and exotic gardens. Each room has its own terrace; rooms are large and carefully decorated to give them originality. The hotel also has two swimming pools, Jacuzzi and a wonderful spa area with each hut having a Jacuzzi with fantastic views of the valley.

The other property is the stunning Xandari by the Pacific Hotel, located directly on the beach at Playa Esterillos Este - between Jaco and Manuel Antonio on the Pacific Coast. All the accommodation is in private villas, which open out on to a perfect beach view, with terrace and a walled in garden area. Some villas have private plunge pools and they all have their own unique style.

Both hotels are wonderful places to stay. I especially like to use the Xandari outside San Jose as it is really convenient for the airport ideal for the first and/or last night's stay.
